Hi! I’m April, a Certified Wellness Coach, and I’m on a mission to help you live the life that you desire.


I was recently asked,

“What difference would working with a wellness coach make for me?”

I love to answer this question! Here it goes.

Wellness is about consistently practicing healthy habits that enable your body, mind, and spirit to thrive, not just survive. This means keeping your body healthy and strong, your mind engaged, clear, and calm, your emotions in tune with the present moment, your work meaningful and rewarding, and your social engagement supportive and reciprocal. Could you make all this happen on your own? Yes, it’s definitely possible! You might already be doing many of these things. Could working with a Wellness Coach make the process of building and practicing healthy habits more clear, more insightful, more strategic, more in line with what I actually want, less overwhelming, and less scary? Absolutely, yes! That’s the difference. Here’s how:

HOPE rather than doubt

When you step into each coaching session, you will have someone who believes wholeheartedly that you are capable of making the kind of change that is just right for you, no matter how easy, hard, big, or small. Your desired outcome, your desired future, is possible, and a coach can help you see options and possibilities that you may not have considered before.

COMPASSION rather than judgment

When you embark on making change, even the tiniest of changes, to better your life, you will be listened to without judgment. You will be accepted for who you are, and what you say and think will be believed to be true.

CARE rather than advice

When you take a step in the direction of better, you will be shown genuine kindness, sensitivity, and attention. The focus will be on YOU, nobody else (especially not on your coach!). You will not be told what to do or how to do it. You are the expert of you. Through our conversations, YOU will decide what to do and how to do it.

A note from your coach.

I’m glad you're here! And since you are here, I know that you’re motivated to engage in a conversation about wellness. So what’s the big deal about wellness anyway? To put it simply, it’s life.

Wellness is reflected in everything we do as humans. It manifests in how we think, move, eat, work, engage with others, cope with challenges, and find calm when life goes sideways. Wellness is a measure of our capacity to notice when we’re living the life we want to live, even when life is ever-changing, and when we’re drifting into muddy waters or have lost sight of where we want to be.

Our ability to be well and to live happy, healthy, and fulfilled lives requires that we are adaptable, engaged, in tune with our values, and open to change. Yeah, change. And I get it. Change is hard. But again, since you’re here, you're motivated to make a change, even if just the tiniest change, to make your life better.

I believe that change for the better is absolutely possible. I believe in instilling an abundance of hope. And it would be my honor to be your coach.
